Customer specifications are normally provided by an OEM who has design control over a product being manufactured for specific applications.
Customer specifications can be a culmination of associated specifications with specific properties or limitations that differ from standard practices or be driven for a mechanical or design outcome warranted to perform a certain task or simply an application they were intended for with the method in which the design authority requires them be produced.
Normally to be able to work to these forms of specifications, customer approvals and subsequent audits need to be undertaken including first article inspection.
